When offered this book for review, I was interested in reading about the making process. The book is small and easy to carry with you. I plan on putting it in my purse and reading it while stuck in those waiting situations like the doctor's office.
From the Publisher:
When you start crafting, you connect your head, heart, and hands. All your focus and energy goes into the materials you are using. And that dedicated time can develop some truly mindful thoughts.
Mindful Thoughts for Makers (Leaping Hare Press / September 3, 2019 / US $9.99) is a lovingly-crafted little book that celebrates the meditative beauty and nature of making. In it, Ellie Beck reveals why creating with our hands is uplifting, rewarding and soothing for the mind, body, and soul.
Honoring rituals, noticing the internal quiet, creating time, and finding your flow are all explored in this charmingly-illustrated collection of reflections. The importance of making mistakes, respecting your creativity, appreciating dirty hands, and noticing the mundane moments, together form a meaningful tool every maker will cherish.
