For our upcoming Disney trip, we are making a variety of Disney themed shirts, this is the first.
Materials used:
- White t-shirt to size
- Rit Dye Liquid Fabric Dye
- Avery Stretchable Transfer paper
- Mickey graphic
- scissors
- needle and thread (to finish off the crochet technique)
- iron
Dying the Shirt:
Starting with a plain white t-shirt we then dyed the shirt with a mix of pink and orange dye using Rit Dye Liquid Fabric Dye in the washing machine.
Altering the Sleeves:
The sleeves were altered using a cutting and crochet technique that is very easy and quick to do. We learned how by watching this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBk6EgHSOME
Adding the Graphic:
Finally the graphic was created on the computer and printed out onto Avery Stretchable Transfer paper.
If you want to make one yourself here is a link to the image. [mickey]
