Tonight we had the pleasure of going to a preview of The Good Dinosaur. My daughters were familiar with the film from advertisements. I knew less about the story line. We as a family found it entertaining. My daughters age 13 and 9 enjoyed it a bit more than my husband and I, while we were entertained by the film. There seemed to be a typical Disney/Lion King theme of growing up and proving yourself. For a Disney flick, I thought there was a lot of sad events traveled through to get to the conclusion. As one who has studied animation, I was amazed and drawn to the rendering of water. It was extremely realistic and something that couldn't have been rendered even five years ago. Overall, a good family flick. I would rate this film 3.5 out of 5 stars.
