We just opened the regular-size California Fruit Bounty box from the Grub Market. There is something fantastic about getting fruit in the winter time, it seems like such a treat. I was surprised by the quantity and size. We often buy pomegranates, but I have never ever seen one the size that was included in our Grub Market box. My daughters were anxious to open the box and see what was inside. They were excited to make a composition for me to photograph the fruit as well. I know that might be a bit strange, but they are used to my blogging escapades and enjoy it. But most importantly, they are excited about eating the fruit. And for a pair of picky eaters, that makes me more than excited.

Shipping in the wintertime can have a few consequences. Our box sat outside our front door during the day. Our delivery person didn't ring the bell and we didn't know to expect the box that day or we would have rescued it from the cold. Our tangerine is really dark (doesn't show well in the photo, you'll have to trust me) which probably was a result of the cold weather. Our pear, on the other hand came very damaged. We received two of them, only one was damaged. These were the only two casualties.
