Wonderful Destinations For Those Who Want An American Sightseeing Experience

The U.S. is full of amazing destinations. Whether you’re American or not, a trip around the States can be an exciting experience. After all, each state is like an individual nation in itself, so Americans can feel like tourists in their own country. But if you’re trying to decide where to go on your next trip around the U.S., you might be struggling to decide. It’s such a big place with so many fantastic places that you could visit. How do you decide? Well, these are some wonderful destinations for those who want an American sightseeing experience.

New York.

This is one of the most popular states for tourists to visit. And it’s easy to see why. As the home of NYC, New York is a great state to visit for those who want a spectacular sightseeing experience. After all, New York City is home to some of the most iconic skyscrapers in the world. The Empire State Building, whilst no longer the tallest building in NYC, is certainly one of the most famous. Head to the top for some amazing views of the city. Of course, NYC isn’t just a sea of skyscrapers. It’s also home to the Statue of Liberty and Central Park, which are two more famous landmarks that you simply have to see for yourself.

The state of New York is more than just NYC, however. Obviously, this megacity takes up a huge portion of the state, but there’s more to it than that. If you head north, you’ll find Niagara Falls at the border between the U.S. and Canada. It’s well worth the visit. You might have seen photographs or videos of the waterfalls at this location, but they’re even more incredible in person. There are so many reasons as to why you should visit Niagara Falls, but the sheer beauty of them should be enough to attract you.

Michigan.

This is another great state that’s worth exploring in America. It might not attract as many worldwide tourists as New York, but that doesn’t mean Michigan has less to offer. Its sightseeing opportunities are just a little more subtle. You should check out Mackinac Island. This intriguing little island is a beautiful place that transports visitors back in time. There are no cars or other modern forms of transport; horse-drawn carriages are used to take people from place to place. Of course, if you really want to return to modern society, you could head to Southfield. This city is home to the magnificent Park West Gallery. You’ll find some wonderful art collections there. This truly is a state with so much to offer to locals and tourists alike.

Indiana.

Indiana is another state that’s definitely worth exploring if you’re going to take a trip around the U.S. Make sure you pay a visit to Fort Wayne. As has been discussed on this site, it’s a wonderful place to explore if you’re looking for an educational sightseeing experience. The Fort Wayne Museum of Art puts on some stunning exhibits, and Science Central is a fascinating experience for both children and adults. The food is great, too; Shigs in Pit, as mentioned, serves some fantastic BBQ food.
