Weight Loss Won't Wait: Great Weight Loss Solutions For Women That You Can Try Today

Hello, dear reader. You now stand at a crossroads. Summer has well and truly gone, the fall season is here and a whole raft of temptations are coming your way. First will come to the pumpkin spiced latte, that autumnal staple that may taste warming and delicious but at a cost of empty calories per paper cupful. Then will come Thanksgiving, where you’ll be expected, nay required, to gorge on Turkey, cranberry sauce, oyster stew and mincemeat pies until you bleed and then of course after the ubiquitously boozy work parties the festival of gluttony will repeat itself on Christmas day.

“But it’s okay”, you tell yourself “Next year’s New Year's Resolution will be to get in shape!”. Good one. Sorry to have to break it to you but New Year’s resolutions simply do not work. Be honest with yourself, how many times have you made the same one year after year without noticing any discernible improvement year-on-year? Thought so.

The simple truth is that you should never put off until tomorrow (or two months down the line), what you can do today, and the fall is the perfect time for starting your journey towards a slimmer, fitter, healthier, happier new you. But even the most determined among us needs a helping hand, especially with so much ‘advice’ out there. When it comes to your diet and exercise, there more self-appointed ‘gurus’ online than you can shake a search engine at. They may tell you to saturate your diet with one food group at the expense of all others, try to convince you that fats and/or carbohydrates are uniformly evil or even (worse still) try to convince you to starve yourself and subsist entirely on hibiscus tea for a week.

The simple truth is that there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution to a fitter, healthier body (or at least not one that can be purchased over the counter). That said, there are some dietary and exercise regimens that have been proven to work better than others. Here are some proven solutions incorporating diet, exercise, and supplements that are known to work well for women of all shapes and sizes to enable you to find a combination that works for you.

Many pre-packaged weight loss solutions offer a short-term period of weight loss followed by a plateau and inevitable weight gain, while many diet pills like Olestra will facilitate weight loss but at an extremely detrimental effect on your health. The solutions detailed here involve natural foods and supplements to ensure that you stay fit and healthy as well as staying in great shape.

High-Intensity Interval Training

There’s an unfortunate misconception that getting fit and healthy involves spending hours and hours at the gym, slaving away at treadmills and cross trainers. In fact, this is far from the truth. Those women you see jogging away at a comfortable pace for seemingly hours at a time are either training for a marathon or severely misguided. The best exercises for shedding body fat as well as building lean muscle mass to boost your metabolism and make sure the weight stays off involve high-intensity interval training (HIIT). These usually involve 2-3 minutes of intense exercise followed by 30 seconds of rest. The Insanity Workout follows this principle and while it’s not recommended for beginners, the results speak for themselves. HIIT is great for improving heart health as well as cardiovascular fitness and improved strength and endurance. Also, because of the intensity of the exercises, they require very little time (Insanity workouts are usually done in half an hour) making them perfect for busy Moms and career women who are always on the go.

The Venus Factor

Very few ‘in the box’ comprehensive weight loss solutions are proven to be effective but as you can see from this Venus Factor review, this solution (designed with the specifics of the female body in mind) breaks from the norm in several ways. Firstly, it does not insist on tiny, prepackaged meals, instead instructing users to cook their own meals using fresh, natural ingredients. Most similar solutions come with low calorie but heavily processed foods that do little to stave off hunger and cravings. It also doesn’t require any pills or supplements, emphasizing natural nutrition which is another plus.

The diet and exercise plan is aimed at controlling the body’s creation of leptin, the satiety hormone that controls hunger and fat storage.

Green tea extract

Unlike a lot of dietary supplement, green tea is a natural plant extract that uses an antioxidant to burn fat. The key ingredient of green tea extract is the antioxidant EGCG which is proven to facilitate natural fat burning, particularly in the stubborn belly area. Unlike a lot of natural extracts, green tea extract is well tolerated by the body and while it contains some caffeine it is not a harmful amount unless you happen to be extremely caffeine sensitive.

Kickboxing

After a long, hard day at work the idea of going for a run, or even a HIIT session might be the last thing you feel like doing. But punching something? Bring it on! Kickboxing is not only fun and cathartic after a stressful day, but it’s a great cardiovascular workout that will improve not just your heart health but your flexibility and strength too. As the training is usually done in intense three-minute rounds, it has all the benefits of HIIt but with added punching and kicking.

Going plant-based

Many people all over the world are adopting an all whole-foods plant based diet for ethical and sustainability reasons, but there’s also no better diet for losing weight and staying healthy. Not only do people tend to lose weight on vegan diets, they also find that their cholesterol is significantly lowered, meaning that their risk of heart disease, diabetes and even some forms of cancer are significantly reduced.

Even if you don’t feel ready to go full vegan, you can still enjoy the benefits by reducing your consumption of meat and dairy while increasing your consumption of veggies and fruits.
