Farm Tour 2014

Indiana's Family of Farmers hosted a group of women bloggers and their families for a day on the farm. We started out by investigating the equipment.

We headed over to the Mahan's farm where they raise beef and grain.

There was so much good information; questions and answers. We got such a grand education and they were so willing to answer all our silly non-country folk questions. We discussed the time it takes to raise cattle, how grain storage works and the cost of combines.

Afterwards we headed back to the Kuhn's farm where they hosted us for dinner, fishing and some-mores by the campfire on their beautiful property.

And before heading for the drive home we were surprised with a bit of farm swag! A tumbler, swish animals, and 2lbs of beef from the Mahan farm!
