These Patriotic Bracelets are easy and quick to make. They are a great way to celebrate our countries history and something you can wear year round. The materials and technique are simple enough that you could make them with your kids.
Materials:
- Red, white, and blue bandanas
- Permanent Glue Dots
- Twine
- Scissors
Directions:
The first step is to size the bracelet to your wrist size.
Wrap the twine around the widest part of your hand. This will determine the ability to slip it onto your wrist. Wrap the twine around your hand at least three times. Doing more so will make the bracelet wider. Cut the end of the twine.
To secure the twine, apply a few Permanent Glue Dots to the ends of the twine, rolling the Glue Dot around the twine. Using Glue Dots allows the adhesive areas to remain soft and flexible while adhering.
I chose to make one of each color. I cut off about an inch of fabric from the bandana and started with and end at the point of the Glue Dots and wrapped it around the twine. Secure the end with a few more Glue Dots. Continue to do the same for the remaining two bracelets.
Finished bracelets.
