How to Make a Paper Flower

These paper flowers make great decor pieces. Consider making one for your mother for Mother's Day. I am sure she will be surprised and cherish it. You can add a stem and leaves if you desire, or use it at a place setting, or in a glass at the dinner table. They look really detailed but are rather simple to make. I bet you will not stop at just making one once you learn how.

Materials:

  • 4 square pieces of paper (mine were 5" squares)
  • scissors
  • craft glue
  • pencil
  • optional - watercolors and liquid dye

Directions:

If necessary, cut your paper to squares before we begin.

Video Tutorial:

Here is the final flower with a bit of watercolor marker added by watering it down with a water brush pen to the petals.

Then I gave it a quick squirt of liquid dye.
Which one do you like better?
