He’s also releasing his major label debut, Roads.”I had not followed The Voice so I was unfamiliar with Chris Mann when asked to review his new album. What I heard was a talented, trained and powerful voice. His sound evokes much emotion. Hearing it for the first time, I thought he would best be suited for the Christian scene and was wishing for the use of his emotional sound to be used in this manner. It seemed like a perfect fit to me. After reading he studied Opera, I was not surprised.
My favorite titles from his Roads album are "My Way" and "Ava Maria", although the additional background voices on the later are not needed in my opinion. His voice being bold and pure, it doesn't need a compliment or embellishment.
