I have seen the posts online for candles that contained a piece of jewelry. Some stating hundreds of dollars worth of jewelry to be found. I was skeptical but also acknowledged the current hype over the candles. The concept is new and joins together two things women love; jewelry and candles.
When the opportunity to review Jewelry in Candles I decided to take the leap. I admit I was interested to see what everyone was being drawn too. I am happy to say the surprise inside is an added bonus. The glass jar is beautiful, tall and slender - quite attractive. The candle was the one pictured above, Day at the Spa. It is actually a light green candle and has a calming soft scent.
I didn't know what to expect or how to recover the jewelry in the candle. I also wondered how people were removing all the wax from their jewelry. I opened the candle and started to burn it. After some time, there appeared a gold "hunk" of foil. I fished it out, placed it on a paper towel and began to unravel it. Inside was small plastic bag containing the jewelry.
The earrings above are the jewelry I found. I didn't win the jewelry lotto, I didn't expect too. What I found was a fashionable pair of silver colored earrings that can be worn on a daily basis. I think a candle from Jewelry in Candles would make an excellent gift idea for friends and family members. Or how about presents for your brides maids? Not only do you get two nice products but the unveiling process is an event to be remembered.
