It is time to start thinking about organizing for back to school. I know some have already started while others are just around the corner. My daughters go to a private school that meets three days a week and then they school at home the other two days. The school doesn’t store any materials and there are no lockers for the kids. That means everything they need gets toted back and forth from home every day.

At Home in Noblesville, IN
We have found that having a school station in our home works well for us. We just created a new space on our lower level making it easier to bring in school bags and drop them off. Last year we had the school shelf upstairs in our dining room and it got to be a mess. Thankfully this year we went shopping at our local At Home store and bought a variety of storage items to help us organize our space.
We bought file boxes, storage baskets, pen and pencil cups, bookends, and a stickable chalkboard. We are now one step closer to being prepared for school to start. Thankfully we don’t start back until after Labor Day.

Our school organization and bringing home school items every day prepares my daughters for how school will be once they reach college. While this organization will be helpful, there are other items college students need while living away from home. At Home has created a move-in checklist just for you so you don’t forget those special items.
