Easy Knitting Project

Ever wonder what is a good project to start with when learning how to knit? This scarf is it. Just twelve single knit stitches and one skein of bulky yarn. For your first project, I would suggest a yarn similar to Spinrite Softee Chunky Ombre Deep Waters Yarn - a very pretty blue and grey mix. An ombre yarn will make the color vary, similar to the scarf above without having to change yarn. A scarf makes a great gift for friends, family or yourself. I made this pink and brown version to wear with my brown winter coat.

The example above was made on homemade knitting needles. You can learn how to make your own here. [diy needles]
