3D Pen Snowflake Ornaments

I have had a 3D Pen for awhile. Playing around with it, I haven't been too thrilled with the results until I had a new idea. Why not try to make Christmas Ornaments with it? I began by drawing a template on the computer. This pattern is available for free below as a PDF file. While any color material works, I really do like the white snowflakes the best!

I found tracing a pattern to be the easiest way to use the pen. I also found the closer I could keep the pen to the paper, they straighter the lines. Since each snowflake is different from the next, this was a great pattern idea for the 3D pen. I set the pen on the widest drawing materials setting and traced each shape. Once done, I peeled the design off the paper and it is ready for a hook and hanging on the tree. It couldn't be any easier and I actually like the wobbly imperfect lines the pen made.
