Tic-Tac-Toe Stocking Stuffer

Christmas gift giving and planning is in the air. This tic-tac-toe game makes a great stocking stuffer, a great craft kids can make for their friends, or (as we did) a craft for Operation Christmas Child. It is quick and easy so you can make quite a few in a short period of time. My ten-year-old loved helping and making a few of her own to give to her friends.

Materials:

  • Gem stones
  • Muslin bags
  • Permanent marker
  • Ruler
  • Paper template

Instructions:

template in place

I found that a cash register receipt was the perfect size for our template. I drew the board pattern on the paper using a ruler and each time we were to draw on the bags, we inserted the template into the bag. The material was thin enough to see the pattern and we were able to copy the tic-tac-toe lines onto the bags.

The bags come with a drawstring top but the strings need to be tied. A simple slip knot worked.

We filled each bag with two different color gems, four of each color.

Where we found the materials used:

Cotton Muslin Bags 3x4

Glass Gem Stones
