This post was inspired by the Creative Craft Bloggers Group's [#CCBG] monthly craft challenge. For the month of April, we were challenged to create using the theme Spring Colors. I was working on this post while traveling so I needed something I could easily take with me. Crochet is my go-to traveling craft. I usually take a ball or two of yarn and a crochet hook kit and I am good to go. For these floral themed coasters, I used cotton yarn from Sugar and Cream. Four coasters used less than one ball of yarn. Here is a close up image and the directions below.
Materials:
- Sugar and Cream cotton yarn in Cool Breeze Ombre
- Crochet kit - Sparkling Pumpkin
5.5 hook
scissors
Directions:
chain 6
slip stitch chain together
* chain 3
tr 1 into the first stitch
tr 2 into each stitch all the way around
slip stitch to the chain
repeat from * above
** slip stitch in the first stitch
in the next stitch dc, tr, dc
repeat from ** around coaster and then cut yarn, pull through the loop, and weave ends into the piece.

I am constantly amazed at the talent of the women I partner with. In the short time we have worked together, I have been challenged and inspired both with creativity and with my blog. Both of these avenues have grown through these relationships, and I look forward to continued growth. I really enjoy these ladies and I am proud to call them friends. The blogs that participated in our craft challenge this month are:
