Show Your DisneySide with a Mickey Party

It’s time to celebrate and your little star wants a Disney themed birthday party. You can find so many ideas on line at Pinterest. But where do you find the makings for the party with the theme you desire? At Birthday Express they have a variety of Disney based themes and you can buy individual items or a complete party pack.

For me, no birthday is complete without the cake. I love birthday cake. You don’t have to buy a store bought cake to celebrate a Disney themed party. Consider making your own specially shaped cake. You can even use cake in the form of cup cakes as send home treats after the party is complete.

Birthdays are all about the cake.

Besides the birthday child, the star of any Disney themed party has to be Mickey. And what better way to celebrate then with this Mickey Mouse shaped cake. The aluminum cake pan is just the ticket for making memories at home. It takes a regular store bought two layer cake mix and a little bit of decorating technique (mostly stars) to master this tasty cake. The icing can be home made or to make it even easier, store bought. You just need to mix up a few different colors.

A basic decorating kit is all you need to ice the cake and they are easily found in most grocery stores or discount department stores like Walmart. These kits often come with a select set of dyes to mix into your icing. A star tip and a basic icing tip is all you need to decorate your Mickey Mouse cake. The star is one of the easiest patterns to decorate with. Just squeeze the icing bag and stop squeezing BEFORE you lift up the icing tube, then move to the next star. The results will amaze you and you will be proud of your finished product.

Send your guests hom As a nice memory of the day, why not send your guests home with a taste of the celebration using dressed up cupcakes! Disney Mickey & Minnie Mouse Cupcake Wrappers & Picks Kit are just the thing for your Mickey and Mini party theme. And the decorating couldn't be any easier using the picks, they make the cupcakes so adorable. You can find them at Birthday Express.

To package up your cup cakes individually, consider using a clear cup. These are easily found at the dollar store or discount department store, even some grocery stores carry them. Place the cupcake into the cup. Then place the cup into a treat bag (decorated or clear) and tie off the top with a ribbon. It makes for a really cute gift as well as making it easier to transport the cupcakes without damaging them. The picks even help with keeping the icing from sticking to the treat bag.

You don’t have to spend a fortune to make a party memorable and fun. Birthday Express understands that and offers a variety of different decorating items that will fit into any budget.
