Salt Lake City - Utah

visiting for the SNAP conference

A recent visit to Salt Lake City, Utah for a conference had me staying in this lovely tower room at the Little America Hotel. My room was just beautiful and very large for just little ole me! Boy! was that bed comfortable, the duvet felt like I was encased in a large pillow. It was really nice to invite a friend into my room and have a place to sit and chat. The arrangement of the bathroom allowed me to store all my personal items in there and not clutter up the room - a real bonus, especially for a conference.

I was in town for the SNAP conference, a conference for craft and DIY bloggers. The conference is filled with teaching sessions, hands-on craft sessions, sponsor booths, and meals. Here are a few photos from this year's conference.

I was staying over the last night of the conference because I couldn't get a flight out until the next day. Thankfully a friend was also staying over and we decided to head out, try the Traks system before having to use it the next day to get to the airport. (it is so much cheaper than taking a taxi or uber). We ended up in a downtown open mall area that was recommended to us. The wait for dinner was long. The area was hopping, we saw a few prom-goers and then we heard something and had to go check it out.

It was something like a flash mob. It was the BYU's Men's Chorus singing in the open area of the mall. I don't know if this was something special or a regular occurrence since it was our first time visiting the area but it was super fun to see. The weather was nice, our meal was good, and we figured out the public transportation.
