Ruffle Scarf

Have you seen this strange yarn at the craft store and not known how to use it? I have passed by it for awhile until my sister explained how to use it. Believe me, it is so simple. You can crochet or knit a scarf in a few hours. One skein is all you need and if you buy it on sale or using a discount coupon, your scarf makes for a very inexpensive gift.

Photos above show: yarn packaging, opening yarn, threading yarn on needle, example of finished scarves.

I found the best way to learn how to knit or crochet with the ruffle yarn is to watch a youtube video. Just search for Sashay on youtube for a variety of options.

I am a left handed so when I knit, I have found it much easier to knit left and then right handed without having to turn my needles and yarn. This limits the opportunity for the yarn to become twisted. I suggest you try it. I know it sounds hard but you are only talking about five or six stitches.

You can even knit these scarves with two pens or pencils instead of knitting needles. I have done it - works really well!!
