Pearls and Tutu

I was invited to a recent baby shower and I wanted to make a special outfit. The mom to be knew she was having a girl, so all out foofy was in order. I found a tutorial on Youtube for the baby onsie that made the pearl necklace by using paint. I used Decoart Sosoft fabric paint. I used baby soft pink and a metallic pearl mixed together.

Materials:

  • Onsie
  • Sosoft paint
  • paint brush
  • pencil
  • piece of cardboard
  • piece of paper for template

If you need a demonstration for the painting technique, you can watch the following Youtube Video.

Then I paired it with a baby tutu. Once again, I followed a tutorial on Youtube to make the onsie. I used  one spool of Tulle and only one layer which made it so easy.  I made the 12 month size tutu. All materials needed were found at Walmart.

Materials:

  • Tulle
  • Elastic
  • Needle and thread
  • Scissors

This was a very easy and inexpensive project with expensive looking personalized results.
