I am participating in the 2015 Ornament Exchange from My Pinadventures. I was paired with Chelc from Inside the Fox Den. After emailing back and forth and visiting her site, I took inspiration from her design. First I took her website logo and had it engraved on an ornament. It isn't really difficult to do. I transferred her logo into a vector based image and sent it to the engraving company (OK, my sister owns the laser engraving machine). So I hope that is a little surprise for her.
Since not everyone would be able to do the same, I created another ornament for her. This time taking inspiration from a wall she painted in her home.
I created a honeycomb/polygon shaped ornament out of paper. To begin, I took card stock in a soft grey and randomly stamped different colors onto the paper to give it some visual texture. Then I used my Cricut machine to cut out the polygon shapes, there are 20 of them.
To put the pieces together, they are gathered in groups of five.
As you continue around the form, it becomes a ball shape. When finished, it could be a decorative element on a table scape or hung from a tree.
If you would like the svg file to cut out and create your own ornament, it can be purchased below.
Once you've paid, you will be taken to a page where you can download the SVG file.
