Focaccia Bread Recipe

Thanks to my sister for this recipe, it is becoming one of our favorites. It's great to be able to make homemade bread that doesn't take very long to make and my family loves it.

Ingredients:
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • 1teaspoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 cup warm water (approx. 110 degrees)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 1 cup mozzarella

Activate the yeast by mixing the sugar, yeast and part of the water. Set this aside until it doubles.

Mix everything plus yeast together...add flour last until it makes a non sticky ball.

Put the dough ball in a bowl, cover with oil (I used olive oil) and wet cloth and wait until it doubles (approx. 30 min)

Press the dough onto a greased pan. ( I used a foil lined baking sheet that I sprayed with cooking oil )

Cover with cheese and bake.
400 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown

Finished! Serve warm. Just tear off pieces and serve.
