DIY Egg Cups

Just in time for Easter, you may find yourself in need of a way to hold your eggs. This craft could even be used in the dying and decorating process to hold the eggs when they are drying. Making these egg cups is very easy and I bet you have the necessary items already at home. A great craft that the kids can do and even decorate with additional stickers and such.

Materials:

  • toilet paper rolls
  • scissors
  • duct tape
  • ruler
  • pencil

Instructions:

Follow the step by step photographic tutorial below.

Begin with a toilet paper roll and mark where you want to cut the roll. Hint: as shown in the picture, line up the pencil and then turn the toilet paper roll towards the pencil, it will make a mark in the same place all the way around the tube.

Cut the toilet paper roll into the pieces that you marked in the step above.

Use a piece of tape long enough to roll around the piece of tube. Overlapping the tape is fine.

The tape that extends beyond the tube, cut it into pieces and then fold them down into the inside of the tube. The cutting just makes this step easier

Make a variety of them in different colors and patterns. Don't worry about the inside of the tubes, you will not see them when they are used. Let your creativity soar by decorating them further as you desire.
